Tapping Rain

morning-coffee

Down on my knees,

I’d get in my spirit,

tending to my wounds.

Touching quarry -deep.

Tapping rain excavating debris,

Down on my knees, there is a word

that speaks beyond what I can see,

There is a faith in me,

There is a gentle resting place,

It has always been,

As I take time,

Down on my knees again….

I think you’ve carved a niche all your own in the blogosphere, Visionarie: prayer-poems that elicit peace. Peace prayers, if you will. I read the lines one at a time and marinate in them. Suddenly, I find I’m breathing more slowly and feeling a sense of calm. “There is a gentle resting place.” This is the line I’ll be thinking of all day to get centered again. Thanks for this! Blessings, Ruth

aha- thank you kindly Ruth. You’ve made me take a deeper look at my practice. I appreciate your thoughtfulness as you leave such inspiring comments. Which have motivated me to write a little more/pray. I’ll be doing the same – breathe more and center myself. You are Godsent(transforming my life with purpose) thank you, with care Krissy 😉

You have a beautiful way of giving us a visual while also giving us the energy surrounding and interwoven in the scene. It’s concrete yet abstract at the same time. Very dope. I am loving your work!
